My sissy

My sister and I, oh what a pair. Our mom always said that in the end the only thing we'd have would be eachother, and boy was she right. I love my sister with all my heart and am grateful that Heavenly Father let us be together on this journey here on Earth.

Death

My mom died unexpectedly about two months ago now, and I have been spending a lot of time thinking. I never realized how hard it would be to lose a loved one. Even though we know the inevitable, that we will all someday die, it is really painful to go through. My mom was a wonderful person, full of love. She always made friends wherever she went, and always wanted others to be happy. When my mom died I was really shocked and sad. I cried a lot at first, but then my thoughts turned to my mom's life. I thought about her attributes and realized that crying wasn't the best way to honor her. I realized that to honor her I needed to live my life, to move forward and to carry on the legacy of helping others find joy and love in their lives. The gospel teaches us to love and serve one another and that by so doing everyone will be taken care of. I have been applying this principle in my life and have experienced the most amazing joy and happiness!

Mi Familia

Let me just say that I am grateful for my family. We have had our trials, but I feel that as of late we are really growing closer together....thanks much in part to the beautiful babies entering our lives from my siblings at a rapid rate. There's just something about a little baby that makes people forget their differences. I think it's the vast amounts of love that they carry with them when they enter this world. What great joys they are in my life. I LOVE being an auntie!

I just saw three homeless men embrace....and it brought me joy! Love sure is abounding! :D
Recently I have been connecting/re-connecting with people at what seems like the most suprising yet opportune times. I love how people are following their hearts and spiritual promptings more and more; so many wonderful things are coming to be because of it! This quote sums it up for me....."Important things aren't seen with the eyes, they are felt with the heart" (Thank you Elder Uchtdorf).
